Pass the Book: A portion of sales from books given to 40 Acre Wood by customers is shared with nonprofits. Those who donate may designate the 501(c)(3) charity recipient of their choice.
Book Share: Individuals and nonprofits in need of reading materials (e.g. homebound seniors, ESL students) are provided free books upon request.
Lending Library: Customers that love to read but don't feel a need to own more books can use the store as a library for a nominal annual or semi-annual fee.
Summer Reading Club: Young readers keep track of the books they read in exchange for free books, prizes and end of summer celebration.
Young Reader Encouragement: Children always receive a free book just for walking in the door.
